Obituary of Michael Anthony Gerrish

Michael Anthony Gerrish, 42, of Peabody died peacefully surrounded by his family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born in Beverly, MA on September 27,1973, the son of Arthur John Gerrish and the late Susan (Levesque) Gerrish and was raised in Beverly and Peabody graduating from Peabody Vets Mem. High School in 1991. He then entered the US Army during the Desert Storm conflict in 1991 and continued with the Reserved Army until his discharge in 1999. Michael excelled as a mechanic in the army and continued his career working as a mechanic at Freightliner Company in South Carolina for many years before moving back to Peabody. He had been employed at the All Star Towing Company, Salem for the past year. He had received many commendations and certificates for his skills on engines and cars, and he enjoyed rebuilding Jeeps back to working order. He is survived by his father Arthur John and his step-mother, Debra Gerrish of Seabrook, NH, a sister whom she considered him the greatest brother ever, Tammy Lamonde and her husband Steven of Peabody, a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur John and Chrissie Gerrish of Seabrook, NH, two nieces, Crystal Lamonde Smith of Salem and Sirena Lamonde of Peabody, his great nephews and great niece, Robert Jr.,and Peyton Smith and Julianna Smith all of Peabody, a step-niece April and her husband Tom Masiero of Berlin, NH and his best friend since childhood, Jason Daniels of Wilmington, MA. A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15th from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
