Obituary of Harriett Bea Lekofridou

Harriett Bea Lekofridou, 93, of Peabody died peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice house in Danvers with her family at her side. She was born in Greece on November 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Spiros and Anastasia (Gianopoulos) Lekofridou and had resided in Peabody most of her life. She had been employed as a stitcher at the New England Sportswear Co. of Peabody for over 35 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church and read her Bible religiously every day. She also like growing plants and flowers and was very adept in crocheting. She is survived by her sister, Betty Chronis of Peabody, a nephew, John Chronis and his wife Donna of Lynn, a niece Stephanie Gianellis and her husband Leonidas of Peabody, a sister-in-law, Ann Polychronopoulos of Peabody and many great nephews and great nieces . Her Services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
