Joseph C. Mello, 56, formerly of Peabody and Danvers, beloved husband of Pam ( Crist) Mello now of Melbourne Beach, FL, died suddenly and unexpectedly in Melbourne, FL on March 20th.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Joseph T. and Marie E. Mary (Paulino) Mello. He lived in Peabody for many years, and attended Peabody schools. He lived in Danvers for 20 years, then moved to Florida three years ago.

He was a Jimmy Buffet enthusiast who enjoyed being on the water for boating, fishing, and relaxation. He enjoyed gardening with flowers and vegetables, social gatherings with family and friends, and cooking. Reading fueled his fascination with history, such as books on U.S. Presidents, War History, and Tom Brokaw’ s The Greatest Generation was one of his favorites. Besides his creative endeavors in landscaping, he expressed his artistic side by painting. He also had a generous, gregarious nature and was always ready to help those less fortunate.
He will be dearly missed by his family, including: his wife, Pam (Crist) Mello of Melbourne Beach, FL, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage; a son, Joseph R. Mello of FL; a daughter, Tiffany Mello & her fiancée Elliott Grozan of FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie & Stephen Kravchuk and Susan & Mark Madruga, both of Middleton; a sister-in-law, Maureen Mello of Peabody, five nieces & nephews, Justin Kravchuk, Jesse Kravchuk, Kendall Kravchuk, Emily Madruga and Casey Madruga all of Middleton; a beloved dog, Burton, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
