Obituary of Phyllis M Davis

Phyllis M. (Geraghty) Davis, 75, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Daniel B. Davis with whom she shared over 51 years of marriage. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Nora (O’ Leary) Geraghty. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody, attended St. John’ s Grammar School and was a graduate of St. John’ s Girls High School, class of 1945. Prior to her retirement 5 years ago, she had worked for over 25 years for the City of Peabody School Department in the Cafeteria for all schools in Peabody. She was a member of the A.O.H. Ladies Auxiliary, Div 11, the Mall Walkers, both of Peabody, and was a member of the Peabody Community Life Center where she enjoyed doing aerobics. She also enjoyed traveling to Ireland with husband Daniel each year. She is survived by 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Peggy Davis of Lynn, Thomas and Donna Davis of Peabody, Brian Davis and Diane Giardina of East Boston, and Glenn and Nancy Davis of Peabody; a sister, Elizabeth Kokoras of Middleton, 10 grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan, Jake, Abby, Sean, Krystan, Tamara, Steven, Ellie, and Todd. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews, and was the sister of the late Thomas Francis Geraghty. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
