Obituary of Marie T. (McVann) Endslow

Marie T. (McVann) Endslow PEABODY – Marie T. (McVann) Endslow, 90, beloved wife of the late William Endslow, Jr., died Saturday August 27, 2016 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Johanna (Regan) McVann, and was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1944. Mrs. Endslow was a bookkeeper at the Warren National Bank in Peabody for several years. Marie was a longtime communicant at St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, and a devoted wife and mother who was a delight to be around. Her love of people and storytelling made her the life of every party. Her wisdom and guidance were often sought out by family and friends. Her family is grateful for her life, and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her six children, William E. Endslow, III, AnnMarie Stevens, Donna Schlessinger and her husband Jim, Mark Endslow, John Endslow, and Noreen Felteau & her husband John; six grandchildren, Patrick and Jennifer Stevens, Jacqueline and Jonathan Felteau, and Phoebe and Lily Endslow; two great-grandchildren, Jenheddy and Eddy Mendez, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother John McVann and sister Hannah Sheehan. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday September 1, 2016 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
