Obituary of Arthur J Amirault, Jr
Arthur J. Amirault Jr, 82, of Lynn, died on Tuesday at the New England Home for the Deaf in Danvers following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Wilma Pederes (Montalvan) Amirault.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Arthur J. Amirault Sr and Frances (Muise) Amirault. He was a lifelong resident of Lynn and attended Lynn Public Schools.
Arthur was employed for many years at General Electric in the cafeteria and retired as a baker. Although Arthur was deaf, his mother encouraged him to do things everyone else was doing and so he ventured out and traveled alone throughout the country and his last stop was in California before heading back to Massachusetts and settling back in Lynn.
Arthur is survived by his sister Mary White of Peabody, his nieces, Patricia Emery, Laura Tancrede, Gail Brennan, and Keith Tyler, and Adam, Carl, and Bradley Shannon.
Following cremations, he Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Jean’s Cemetery in Lynn. F
