Obituary of Ann Polychronopoulos

Ann Polychronopoulos, 84, of Peabody, MA died peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospise House, Danvers with her family at her side. She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on April 5, 1932 the daughter of the late John D. and Harriet (Canacopoulos) Polychronopoulos and was raised in Salem and had resided in Peabody for most of her life. Ann had worked at the New England Sportswear Co. in Peabody for 30 years and later with the Walgreen Pharmacy in Peabody Square for 20 years prior to her retirement. She had been a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody and belonged to the Daughters of Penelope. She enjoyed being with her family and was devoted to being there with them as a Sister, Aunt and great Aunt. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, John and his wife Donna Chronis of Lynn, Sophie Mitsios of Lowell, Angelo and his wife Sue Sakelarios of Chelmsford and June Kazes of Rockport, her sister-in-law, Betty Chronis of Peabody and many great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Dennis Chronis, Irene Kazes and Sophie Sakelarios and her sister-in-law, Harriett Lekofridou who died recently. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 until 1:00PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral service will be held there at 1:00 PM.
