Obituary of Beverly E. (Kimball) Sousa

Beverly E. (Kimball) Sousa PEABODY – Beverly E. (Kimball) Sousa, 83, beloved wife of Charles Sousa, died peacefully on Friday September 9, 2016 at the Care One Rehab and Skilled Care Facility in Peabody, following an extended illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Gillespie) Kimball. She grew up in Peabody where she attended schools, and graduated from Peabody High School. Mrs. Sousa worked as a cashier with Stop & Shop Supermarket, and later was an Assitant Branch Manager with Eastern Bank at the Margin St. Peabody and Salem St. Lynnfield locations. Beverly was a member of the Lynn Women’s Club, enjoyed family time at their Summer Camp in Ossipee, NH, and mostly was passionate about spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Charles Sousa of Peabody, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage; a daughter and son-in-law Holly & David Nolan of Lynn; four grandchildren, Carrie Nolan Dewire & her husband Ted, Laurie Nolan, David & his wife Shayna Nolan, and Brett Nolan; two great-grandchildren, Connor Nolan and Addison Nolan, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by two brothers Harold Kimball and Norman Kimball. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday September 14, 2016 for a visitation from 10 – 11:30 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
