Obituary of Alice Olga (Gness) Reardon

Alice "Olga" (Gness) Reardon PEABODY – Alice "Olga" (Gness) Reardon, 95, beloved wife of the late Robert Reardon, died peacefully on Saturday September 10, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following an extended illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Klem and Pariska (Artemchuck) Gness. She was a lifelong resident of the city, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1938. Mrs. Reardon worked in school cafeterias with the Peabody Public Schools for nearly 20 years. Olga was an avid reader, a long time member at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Peabody, and a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. She was most passionate about her family and was strongly devoted to her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter Kathy A. Conway of Peabody; a son Robert S. Reardon of Peabody; four grandchildren, Derek Reardon, Jana & Mark Mowers, Ian Conway, and Kim & Rob Andersen; four great-grandchildren, Robbie & Eric Andersen, and Gracie & Greta Mowers; a son-in-law Robert Conway of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Anna Gness, Mary Gness, and Katherine Gness. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday September 16, 2016 for a visitation from 11 AM – 12:30 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 P.M. in the funeral home. Urn burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
