Obituary of James E "Jamie" Perkins
James E Perkins, 47, of Norwell and formerly of Peabody passed away suddenly on Thursday September 15, 2016. He was the son of the late William Andrew and Lorraine (McMahon) Perkins.
Jamie was a graduate of Peabody Vocational High School. Jamie worked for many years as a machinist.
Although Jamie was paralyzed in an accident when he was a teenager, nothing stopped him from working and staying independent. He would never ask for help but would gladly help his family or friends. Jamie had a passion for fixing up muscle cars and hot rods. Jamie’s brother Mark spent every day for the past three years helping him through his pain, a true brother’s love. He will be greatly missed by all.
He had 2 dogs that he loved dearly Madder and Emma. He is survived by his brothers Mark Perkins and his wife Patricia (Malvestuto) Perkins of Norwell, his brother Keith Wilhelm and his partner in life Donna of Amesbury, his sister-in-law, Brenda (Rothe) Wilhelm of Beverly, and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Jeffrey Wilhelm.
A private service will be held for family and his best friend at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody on Monday from 10 AM until 11 AM. In lieu of flowers there is a Go Fund Me Page set up for Jamie. T
