Obituary of Jean Tomkins Williamson
DANVERS – Jean (Tomkins) Williamson, 86, beloved wife of the late Russell S. Williamson, passed away on Thursday, September 22nd at Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, she is the daughter of the late Harold and Jeannette Tomkins.
Jean and her husband Russell had resided in Billerica MA before settling in Amherst, New Hampshire to raise their family. They retired to Lake Alfred, Florida. Jean was a talented seamstress. She often sewed her and her children’s clothing. Jean enjoyed cooking, traveling and going on cruises with her husband. Most of all, Jean loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children: Diane Williamson of Manchester, New Hampshire, Deborah Williamson Flanders of Middleton , MA and R. Scott Williamson of Nashua, New Hampshire; one surviving sister: Ruth Molnar of New Jersey and four grandchildren: Jessica Flanders of Newburyport, Elizabeth Flanders of Brighton, Nicole Frisch of Tewksbury and Riley Dennison of Manchester, New Hampshire; along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters: Hazel McDermott, Edith Zimmerman, and Josephine Walters.
Jean ‘s Services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Jean’s Memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite 102-B , Danvers, MA 01923 in her memory.
