Obituary of Constance J. (White) McCarthy

Constance J. (White) McCarthy, 75, of Peabody, died suddenly Monday at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond McCarthy. Born in Lowell on December 6, 1930, she was the 4th child of the late George Arthur and Mildred Jane (McNabb) White. She was raised in Salem, where she attended St. Mary’ s and Salem High School. Upon marrying her husband, Raymond in 1955, she moved to Peabody where she has lived for the past 51 years. Ms. McCarthy is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin R. of Chelsea, Michael J. and Connie of Westford, Ralph T. and Roselma of Salem, and David J. and Rita of Danvers; her four daughters and sons-in-law, Beth E. and Mark Costa of Orlando, Fla, Karen A. McCarthy of Salem, Constance and Charles Park of Woodstock, GA, and Maureen and Keith Champagne of Amesbury. Her surviving siblings are, Eleanor and Henry Stanford of Danvers, Brian and Barbara White of Danvers, Faith Pura of Chester, PA, and Donna and J.J. Weidner of Elkhard, IL. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Virginia Fleet. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
