Obituary of Gladys E Bissett

Gladys E Bissett, 87, of Peabody, died early Thursday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Alvin E and Margaret (Horne) Bissett. She was raised and educated in Lynn and has spent the last 52 years living in Peabody. She was employed as a supervisor for the former Bell Telephone Company for many years before retiring many years ago. Gladys was passionate about traveling throughout Europe, Australia and the world and was always surrounded by many close friends. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews, Heather Sepielli of Martinez, GA, Howard Henderson of Elmer, NJ, Hope McClish of Leesburg, FL, Hank Henderson of Dennis and Harlan Henderson of Amelia Island, FL and is also survived by several grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Henderson. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:30 am until 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
