Obituary of David James Nikitas

David J. Nikitas, 35, of Danvers and formerly of Rowley and Peabody, died unexpectedly on Wednesday October 19, 2016 after a recent surgery. He was the husband of Jennifer (York) Nikitas. He was born in Melrose, MA on February 16, 1981, the son of Christopher and Judith (Michaud) Nikitas and was raised in Peabody and resided in Rowley before moving to Danvers. He was a graduate of Our Lady of Assumption Grammar School and Bishop Fenwick High School in 1999 where he played on the football and baseball teams. He was employed as a loan manager for Direct Capital, a division of CIT Bank in the Portsmouth, NH. Branch. David was an avid candle pin bowler and played on teams at the Metro Bowl following in his father’s footsteps and also bowled with his sons. Dave loved to read, especially science fiction and comics and was a movie, music and sports buff. He was a devoted father to his family and enjoyed spending quality time with his boys. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his cherished sons, Jackson David 6 and Xander Christopher 3, his parents Christopher and Judith Nikitas of Peabody, a sister and brother-in-law, Kristen Nikitas and Stephen Moles of Danvers, a sister-in-law Amanda and her husband Fabrice Belotte of Beverly, his mother-in-law, Donna York of Gloucester, his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Ryan and Taylor Moles and Emmett, Ellah and Emily Belotte and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 AM at Our lady of Assumption Church, Grove St., and Lynnfield. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the David Nikitas Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of America, 81 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
