Obituary of Louis M. Soldani

Louis M. Soldani, 52 PEABODY – Louis M. Soldani, 52, died unexpectedly after a sudden heart attack at his home on Friday October 21, 2016, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Patricia (Rich) Soldani and the late Michael Soldani. He grew up and lived most of his life in Peabody, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1981. Louis had a gift for cooking, and worked at several establishments around the North Shore, from the Bel-Aire Diner to restaurants, hospitals and health care facilities. He enjoyed being outdoors and tending to his garden, enjoyed sports and was an avid Bruins fan, and had a passionate love for cooking and always had music playing. He also was a very devoted and faithful Catholic, attending St. James Church in Salem. He had a very generous and giving spirit, and doted on taking care of his mother as she instilled family values very strongly for her children. He is survived by his mother Patricia Soldani of Saugus, a sister Tina (Hall) Smith & her husband Dean of Peabody; two nephews Daniel and Brendan Smith of Peabody, two uncles Joseph Fonzo of Malden and Arthur Rich of East Boston, and his beloved dog “Foxie”. He was preceded in death, besides his father, by a brother Keith Soldani. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, Salem on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 11 AM, with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Church, Federal St., Salem.
