Obituary of Nancy D. (Pedoto) Cayon

March 18, 2002. Nancy D. (Pedoto) Cayon, 75, loving wife of Edward S. Cayon, died early Monday morning at the Lahey Clinic Burlington, following a brief illness. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Specioso & Josephine (D’ Amico) (Pedoto) Masciulli. She had lived in East Boston for most of her youth and had attended East Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of East Boston High School, class of 1945. She later moved to Peabody and has been a resident for the past 40 years. She had worked as a Food Supervisor at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington for 10 years prior to her retirement. After her retirement, she had worked as a Candy-Maker at Putnam Pantry in Danvers until her illness. She was currently Vice President of Peabody Ladies Lodge, OSIA, past board member of Trinity House Camp, and the North Shore Skating Club. She also was currently on the Reunion Committee for East Boston High School, class of 1945. Besides her loving husband Edward S. Cayon of 45 years, she is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-laws, Veronica & Arthur Avakian of Franklin, Doreen & Paul Kelly of Everett, and Stephanie & David Pfeiffer of Winthrop; 2 brothers John Pedoto of Winthrop and Joseph Masciulli of Fla; 2 sisters, Norma Doolen of Peabody and Lucille Topping of Maryland; 8 grandchildren, Janice Kennes, Jessica Collins, Keith & Michael Gove, A.J. Avakian, Nancy Eaton, Christopher & Rose Pfeiffer; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility (978) 531-0472, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church at 11:00 AM. Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Retired Food Supervisor at Lahey Clinic, Burlington.
