Obituary of Royal A Sorell, Jr

Royal A Sorell, Jr, 57, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Thursday at his home. He was the devoted husband of Patricia (Brennan) Sorell. Born in Troy, New York, he was the son of the late Royal A Sorell Sr and Beatrice (Gooley) Sorell. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veteran’s Memorial High School, class of 1976. Royal was in the entertaining business for many years that brought joy to numerous children and adults as a mime, magician, clown and balloon artist. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his brother Edwin Sorell of Peabody, his two sisters, Sharon Cooper of Peabody and Joan Allen-Anuszewski of New York and by many dear friends and colleague. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 1:30 PM until 5:30 PM.
