Obituary of Dorothy R. (Queen) Kushnieruk

Dorothy R. (Queen) Kushnieruk PEABODY Dorothy R. (Queen) Kushnieruk, 83, beloved wife of the late John Kushnieruk, died at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Wednesday following a brief illness. Born in Washington, IN, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Spaulding) Queen. She lived there in her youth and attended schools there. She moved to Peabody where she lived for the last 58 years. Mrs. Kushnieruk worked as an Elevator Operator in Indiana. Besides her nurturing family at home, she also worked many years with Heartland Supermarket in Salem, then Stop & Shop in Swampscott, and retired from Stop & Shop in Peabody. She will be missed by her family, including three daughters and sons-in-law, Janet & John Dunleavy of Peabody, Mary Alice & Kirk Moulton of Cape Neddick, ME, and Christine & John Welch of Canton; four loving grandchildren, Thomas & Karen Moulton of Georgetown, Eric Dunleavy of Arlington, VA, Marc Dunleavy of Peabody, and Michael Welch of Canton; one great-grandson, Thomas Jacob Moulton of Georgetown; two brothers, Victor Queen of Wabash, IN and Leo Queen of Southgate, KY; one sister, Rosemary Ledgerwood of Washington, IN, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and sister of the late Ralph Queen, Bernice Jerger, and Alice Fyffe. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
