Obituary of Charlie M Santos
Charlie M Santos, 56 of Peabody, died Wednesday afternoon at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Espinola) Santos. He immigrated with his family in 1962 to the United States and became citizen in April of 1964. He has lived in Peabody for the past 54 years.
Charlie enjoyed deep sea fishing and going to the local Portuguese Clubs and shoot pool at the Post, CLC and at Our Lady of Help Hall as well.
The Santos family wishes to thank and extend their deep appreciation to the staff of the Bass River Group Homes and Care Dimensions for their care, compassion and their professionalism. They are deeply grateful.
Charles is survived by his two sisters, Zelia Baptista of Peabody and Almerinda Capaldo of Townsend, and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his dear friends from the Bass River Group. He was predeceased by his sister, Elmira Santos.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by his Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Walsh Ave, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, North St. Salem.
