Obituary of Olinda M Silva

Olinda M (Espinola) Silva, 60, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the devoted wife of Natalino Silva with whom she shared over 41 years of marriage. Born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Adalgiza Espinola. She was raised in Portugal and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1968 where they settled in Lowell for six years. She has spent the last 41 years living in Peabody. Olinda was employed with Analogic for over 36 years as a manufacturing manager before her illness a few months ago. Olinda loved life and lived it to the fullest and family was everything to her. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sonia and Jose Del Valle of Peabody, her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Manuel and Fatima Espinola, and Jose and Maria Espinola, all of Lowell, her granddaughter, Olivia Del Valle and also by several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be celebrated on Saturday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Walsh Ave, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
