Obituary of Catherine Moroni

Catherine Moroni, 68, of Beverly and formally of Peabody, died early Friday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of Angela (Raffenello) Moroni of Peabody and the late Faust Moroni, Sr. She was raised and educated in Peabody and has spent the last three years as a resident at the Radius Healthcare Facility in Beverly. She loved horses, horse races, going to the dog track, and bingo. She also was a member of the Sons of Italy, Women’ s division in Salem, and communicant of St. Ann’ s Church in Peabody. Besides her loving mother Angela (Raffenello) Moroni, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Faust Spike Moroni Jr. and his wife Joan of Beverly; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Jean Moroni and her friend Modesto DeBenedictis of Peabody and Lorraine and Eugene Call of Peabody, and several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 5 until 8 PM. Burial in St. Joseph’ s Cemetery, Lynn.
