Obituary of Helen Miller

Helen Miller, 99, of Peabody and formerly of Seabrook, NH, died Saturday evening at her home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Walter H Miller with who she shared over 69 years of marriage. Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine Sudol. She has lived in Peabody for the past 14 years. Helen and her husband raised there two children and once her children had grown, she worked as a Real Estate Broker in Reading for a number of years before she retired. Following he retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Safety Harbor, FL with her husband. Helen was very handy doing finished carpentry work and building homes with her husband in the Seabrook area, and later taught furniture making in the Jamaica Plain Schools. Helen also enjoyed square dancing, playing pool, and especially enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent bridge player. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Rose Marie Miller of Lynnfield, her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and James Nagle of Reading, her four grandchildren, Cheryl Benoit, Michael and his wife Mikaela Benoit, Adrienne and her husband Aaron Manes, her three great grandchildren, Caleb and James Benoit and Caroline Manes. She was predeceased by her siblings, John Sudol and Amelia Tuminoski and her granddaughter, Melinda Benoit. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 AM at the Brooksby Village Chapel in Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill.
