Obituary of Dorothy G (Jackson) Brown

Dorothy G Brown, 88, of Peabody, died Sunday morning with her family by her side at Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Warren P. Brown. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Noddin) Jackson. She was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Dorothy was a very active member of the Second Congregational Church in Peabody for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking, but her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Virginia Brown of Peabody, her brother, Walter T Jackson of New Mexico, her sister, Evalyn Douglas of Peabody and by her beloved two grandchildren, Victoria and Julia Brown, and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Brown and her sister June Sutherland. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
