Obituary of Evelyn F (Coughlin) (Duffy) Reardon

Evelyn F (Coughlin) (Duffy) Reardon, 91, of Peabody, died Friday morning surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Patrick Reardon and Lawrence Duffy. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Hurley) Coughlin. She was raised and educated in Somerville, later lived in Melrose and has spent the last 30 years living in Peabody. Evelyn had a tremendous sense of humor and was very social. She belonged to many organizations and enjoyed bowling with the ladies from Our Lady of Assumption in Lynnfield. She is survived by her son, Joseph Duffy of Revere, her two daughters, Denise and her husband James Gianola, and Geraldine Duffy, all of Peabody, her step sons, Stephen, Patrick, and Terence Reardon, all of Revere, her step daughter, Mariregis Fusco of Stoneham, and is also survived by her beloved three grandchildren, Joseph Gianola of Henderson, NV, Michael Gianola of Melrose, and Alexander Perch of Peabody. She was predeceased by her siblings, Daniel Coughlin, Helen Murphy, and Margaret White. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
