Obituary of Lorrie M. Walsh

Lorrie M. Walsh, age 54, died unexpectedly at home, Wednesday, December 28th 2016. She was raised in Lynn and Peabody, graduating from Peabody High School, class of 1980. She left behind a powerful legacy of devout friendship and love. Her life’s work can be found in the hearts of all who knew her; her loyalty, her generosity of spirit, and her creative mind were limitless. She had only one child but her maternal spirit was bountiful and touched the lives of many. Her heart was big, bigger than the raised ranch she lived in for most of her life. She was courageous in her open-heartedness. Lorrie is survived by her husband, Steven Walsh; her daughter, Rachel Romanski; her step-son, Nicholas Walsh; her mother, Lorraine Lasher; her brother, William Lasher; and many beloved extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her father William “Lance” Lasher; her step-son, Jonathan Walsh; and her sister, Raelene Lasher. Visiting hours will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody on Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no formal funeral services. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Lorrie’s name to the Progeria Research Foundation (progeriaresearch.org).
