Obituary of Beverly Ann (Chesley) Palm
Beverly Ann Palm (Chesley), 59, died peacefully on Christmas day in the comforting presence of her family, after a long and courageous battle against Breast Cancer. Born on October 27, 1957 in Lynn, Beverly was a good student and loved cheerleading throughout elementary school and junior high. She graduated from Lynn English High School and decided to attend a Dental Assitant Program in the local area. Ms. Palm remained in Lynn for 19 years before relocating to New York to venture off into owning her very own business. Beverly became the proud owner and operator of a tanning salon known as Sandless Tan. It was located in the center of the small town, Carmel. After both her children went off to college, she closed her business doors one last time and moved to Westchester County. Here is where she went on to touch the hearts of many others each and every day. In 2001 she began working for Westchester Medical Center. Over the number of years she worked at this hospital she managed to create all new connections and bonds. Co-workers, nurses, doctors, technologists, patients and even their families grew to love her, and began to feel like family to her. “Everyone knows Bev!” is the resounding response whenever someone asked about her. Beverly was outgoing and energetic. She would fill her extra time working for a company, Hart Liquors, which gave her an additional way to interact with people and impact many more lives. People always say the moment they met herit was going to be impossible to forget her. She was the familiar smiling face many people came to expect and look for every day. But after 34 years in New York, it was finally time for her to be closer to the family and so she moved to Cranford, New Jersey to be with her loving daughter, oldest granddaughter, and their three dogs that Bev simply adored. Beverly is survived by both her loving parents Raymond and Beverly Chesley, brother Raymond Chesley, Jr.,and his wife Judy, daughter Alexis and granddaughter Taryn, son Gary Palm, Jr. and his wife Denielle and their daughters Olivia and Emma. To the three beautiful granddaughters, she was fondly known as “Nana-Banana”. In addition to her closest of kin, Beverly leaves behind many beloved friends and family near and far who will truly miss her. Beverly always found happiness by helping others and was always there to lend a hand. She enjoyed planning parties and sharing her creativity. She had an amazing memory and knack for dates and details that would make anyone feel special. She enjoyed making up new recipes to cook for everyone, and when she would bake it always seemed to turn out perfect. She used her artistic talents and vivid imagination to add her unique touch to any event, from favors, and centerpieces down to the invitations or thank you notes. Beverly was a burst of joy and laughter. This energy she carried with her was one people could not resist. She always made new friends with her fun-loving, upbeat perspective of life. As the years passed by, she became a mother figure to many simply because she was a great listener and always seemed to understand. Beverly has left behind a powerful legacy of devoted friendship and love. She had a heart of gold and never failed to share it with anyone who had the opportunity to meet her. But above all, her greatest attribute can be appreciated by taking note of all the imprints she made on the hearts and lives of so many. These moments in time she shared with us, that are now irreplaceable, were the very moments in which she was not only making those imprints but also giving away a piece of her heart to each of us to hold and cherish. Her big, bright eyes and contagious smile that has infected everyone will be remembered and shall continue to resonate within our hearts until we too are called back home.
