Obituary of Mary Stella Drabik

Mary Stella (Koziski) Drabik, 98, of Peabody, died Thursday evening at the Brentwood Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Sigismund Drabik. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Chalupka) Koziski. She was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Mary was employed as a seamstress for many years for David H. Smith in Lynn, but her primary focus was her family. Mary also made clothing for her family and also enjoyed cooking for them as well. She is survived by her two daughters, Virginia and her husband John Michaud of Lynn, and Elaine and her husband Michael Magliaro of North Andover, her beloved grandchildren, Carolyn Blaney, Christine Flynn, and Sara Murphy, her four great grandchildren, Giles and George Blaney, and Julia and Allison Murphy. She was predeceased by her siblings, Stanley, Benjamin, and Helen Koziski. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
