Obituary of Rita Marie (Jalbert) Rodriguez

Rita Marie (Jalbert) Rodriguez, 60, of Salem, MA died Wednesday January 4, at the North Shore Medical Center/ Salem Hospital with her family at her side. She was the wife of the late Fernando Rodruguez who died in 2005. She was born in Salem, MA on September 8, 1956, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Weinburg) Jalbert and had resided in Salem all her life. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Salem. Rita had been employed at the Sertech Labs in Salem for over 20 years. She then worked at the Lil Peach market in Salem prior to her retirement. She had a strong love of animals, especially her dog Frankie and cats and also loved spending time with her family and playing Kitty Whist . She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Bryan Chambers and her cherished grandson, Brian Chambers all of Salem, her siblings and spouses, John Jalbert, Jim Mac Donald, Leo and Tawnya Jalbert, Tessy Bennett, Mary Jalbert, Nina and Mike Bridgman all of Salem and Tina and Michael Bouchard of Peabody, her nieces and nephews, Christopher Kent , Leo and Christie Jalbert and Emily Bridgman, her best friends, Ginette Martineau , Lorriane Gagne and Denise Mackey of Salem. A gathering and Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at the residence of her sister, Tina Bouchard at 17 Dahlia Avenue, Peabody, MA.
