Obituary of Maria Da ALdina Espinola

Maria S. (Da Aldina) Espinola, 83, of Peabody, beloved wife of the late Antonio Espinola, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at the Sunbridge Care & Rehab for Beverly following a brief illness. Born and raised in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joao Braz and Aldina Candida Silva. She had lived in the Azores for over 50 years before immigrating to the United States and has spent the last 32 years living in Peabody. She had worked for over 20 years as a seamstress, specializing in Leather Jackets before retiring a few years ago. She also enjoyed sewing and being around her family and her grandchildren. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-laws, Joao & Isaura Espinola, and Manuel & Isabel Espinola, all of Peabody; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Maria Espinola, and Diamantina & Idalino Espinola, all of Peabody; 5 grandchildren, Roberto, Paulo, Michael, Kristen and Ashley Espinola, all of Peabody, and 2 great grandchildren, Karina and Kassandra Espinola, both of Peabody. She was the sister of the late Manuel Braz. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Friday from 4-8 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
