Obituary of Elisiario F. Vieira

Elisiario Filipe Vieira, 74, of Bresnahan St., Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the former husband of Angelica (Silviera) Vieira of Beverly. Born and raised in Avis, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio Filipe & Margarida (Rosa) Vieira. He had lived in Portugal for over 40 years before immigrating to the United States in 1968 and has been a resident of Peabody ever since. He had worked as a watchmaker, both in Portugal and Peabody and later had worked for several restaurants on the North Shore and had worked for GTE Sylvania in Salem, all prior to his retirement. He is survived by 4 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws, Arlindo Vieira of Santa Monica, Ca, Joseph & Lynn Vieira of Brunswick, Ga., Harrison & Amanda Vieira of Saugus, and Roger Vieira of Peabody; a daughter and a son-in-law, Maria & Lawrence Tully of Brunswick, Ga.; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Maria & Anibal Paulino of Peabody, and Edite Biscaia of Salem; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jose Filipe Vieira and Maria Pinto. Elisiario Filipe Vieira, 74, former husband of Angelica (Silviera) Vieira, father of Arlindo, Joseph, Harrison, and Roger Vieira, and Maria Tully. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 800 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. Peabody Facility (978) 531-0398, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
