Obituary of Maureen M (Corcoran) Fallon
Maureen M (Corcoran) Fallon, 79, of Peabody and formerly of South Boston and Cambridge, died Thursday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of late Leo T. Fallon with whom she shared almost 60 years of marriage.
Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Tobin) Corcoran. She was raised and educated in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. Maureen has lived in Peabody for the past 54 years.
She enjoyed countless hours sailing with her husband and family and was a long time member, along with her husband Leo, of the Blue Water Sailing Club and the Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead.
Maureen is survived by her two devoted sons, Michael and his wife Patricia Fallon of Hamilton and Leo T. Fallon Jr and his girlfriend Wendy Champigny of Georgetown, and is also survived by her three loving grandchildren, Christina, Caroline, and Nicholas Fallon. She was predeceased by her siblings, Sheila Bacon and Christopher Corcoran.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St, Danvers, MA 01923.
