Obituary of You Chhom

You Chhom PEABODY -- You Chhom, 87, beloved wife of the late Thong Srun, died peacefully on Sunday January 15, 2017 at the Beverly Hospital, while in the comforting presence of her family, and following an extended illness. Born in Cambodia, she lived there most of her life. She was a Farmer on the family land there before moving to the United States over 20 years ago. She became a United States Citizen in 1999, and lived in the Greater Peabody area for 18 years. She is survived by a son and two daughters, Sok Srun, Ly Srun, and Kea Srun all of Peabody; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and other extended family and friends on the North Shore and in Cambodia. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Service will be at the Sanghikaran Wat Khmer Temple in Lynn Friday afternoon and evening, with Graveside Committal on Saturday at 10 AM in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody
