Obituary of Gep D Chin

Gep D Chin, 85, of Peabody, passed away at the Brooksby Village Continuing Care Unit on Thursday January 19, 2017 He was a life long resident of Peabody and was educated in the Peabody school systems. After graduating from Peabody High School in 1950, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He began his electrical engineering career at RCA in Morristown, NJ and later transferred to its facility in Burlington, MA. He worked for General Electric Company after the merger with RCA and retired from the General Electric Company. Mr. Chin was predeceased by his father, Ming Tai Chin, his mother, Fong Bo Lee Chin, and his brother Yin Din Chin. He leaves behind his sisters, toy Lin Lee of Virginia and Toy Har Chin and her husband Bock M. Chin of Peabody. Mr. Chin also leaves many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 – 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in his honor.
