I, too was shocked to hear about Mike's passing. He lived a few doors down from me over in front of the Wallis School. We grew up in a generation where kids actually went out to play all day and come back tired and ready for supper. I also remember Mike as being a very good hockey player in neighborhood sandlot games. I am also a veteran, and I salute you and thank you for all your years of service. God bless your soul, Mike. May you rest in peace.

Joe Sousa

I was so shocked to get a call from Mike's boss informing me of his heart attack. I also had a heart attack at 52 almost 9 years ago and was very fortunate as I ended up with a triple by-pass. Given his great shape, I held out hope that he would recover. He is in better place now.

I will treasure the great memories of Mike both just us together with our Marrs Park gang of friends. In recent years, when I would come back on business and make a visit, Mike and I would always get together grab a beer and laugh and joke about the great times we had growing up. Life it seems was much simpler then and we both kind of wished we could go back.

I've never heard a bad word spoken about Mike. He was awesome son and brother, a great friend, a proud and honorable Marine and a dedicated worker. We have truly lost a great man and he will be sorely missed. We will continue to pray for Mike and his family.
