Obituary of Hazel Marie Barrows

Hazel M Barrows, 94, of Peabody, died Tuesday evening at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Wallace E Barrows, Jr. Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marie (Nelson) Bloomquist. She was raised and educated in Wilmington, later lived in Maine and has spent the last 52 years living in Peabody. Hazel was a stay at home who enjoyed raising her family. She enjoyed playing golf with her husband and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Wallace E Barrows Jr and his wife Jane of Marshfield, her daughter, Nancy Wilson of Falmouth, ME, her son-in-law, Bill Scheufele of Plymouth and is also survived by her beloved 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Marilyn Scheufele and her brother Alfred Bloomquist. Friends and family are kindly invited for a gathering on Saturday at 12:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial services will be private.
