Obituary of John F. Krantz

John F. Krantz 50, of Peabody, passed away unexpectedly at his home from asthma complications on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. John was born in Boston on July 19, 1966 son of Mary C. John devoted his life to his son Alex, was an accomplished guitarist who enjoyed playing and listening to music, going to the beach, walking his loyal canine companion Gracie, writing poetry and novels, and was also an avid sports fan. If someone wanted something fixed or built, “John was the go to person.” In addition to his mother Mary of Quincy, John is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jacqueline E. (Kommers) Krantz and his cherished son, Alex D. Krantz of Peabody; 2 sisters, Caroline T. Krantz and her husband James F. Beatson of Quincy, and Christine M. Krantz of Somerville; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. He was also predeceased by his brother Mark P. Krantz. His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 29th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
