Obituary of Helen B. (Nozko) (Makarewicz) Kelley

Helen B. (Nozko) (Makarewicz) Kelley MIDDLETON – Helen B. (Nozko) (Makarewicz) Kelley, 105, wife of the late Frederick ‘Ted” Kelley “Bebop”, died peacefully on Wednesday January 25, 2017 at the Masconomet Regional Healthcare Facility in Topsfield, following an extended illness, just two months shy of her 106th birthday. Born on March 27, 1911 in Salem, she was the daughter of Anthony Nozko and Anna Zimbrowski Nozko. She grew up in Salem where she attended schools. She lived in Middleton for over 50 years. Helen was active with the Middleton Senior Citizens Center for years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and being outside tending to her garden. She also loved animals and traveling. She is survived by two grandsons both of Danvers, Mac Makarewicz and Marty Makarewicz and his fiancee Karen Griffith; a granddaughter and her husband, Ann & Joe Curley of Danvers; four great-grandsons, Tim, Sean, Kevin and James Curley all of Danvers. She was the wife of the late Frederick Kelley, mother of the late Conrad “Connie Mac” Makarewicz, sister of the late Stanley Nozko and half-sister of the late Henry Nozko. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday January 31, 2017 from 9:30 – 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
