Obituary of Clara A Kasprzyk

Clara A Kasprzyk, 88, of Peabody, died peacefully Thursday evening at the RiverCourt Residence in Groton following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Julian S Kasprzyk. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Iwancz) Niekrasz. She was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1945. Upon her graduation from high school, Clara worked at the General Electric Riverworks Plant for 11 years as a clerk stenographer. She later continued working for the city of Peabody as a clerk for the Health Department for over 25 years before retiring in 1993. Clara was a member of the Holy Rosary Society, Ladies Guild, and Secular Franciscans at St. Joseph’s Church in Peabody. She also enjoyed gardening and was very devoted to her family. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph S and Laura M Kasprzyk of Rowley and Mark J Kasprzyk and Camille Romano of Falmouth; her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Mike Gagnon of Tyngsboro; her five grandchildren, Timothy, John, and Kyle Kasprzyk, Michalle Montgrain, and Matthew Gagnon; and is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and by her niece Patricia Dombrowski. She was predeceased by her siblings, John Niekrasz and Agnes S Chmiel, and her nephew Philip Chmiel. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St, Peabody, which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Family and friends will be gathering in St. John’s hall after burial for a catered lunch to celebrate her well-lived life.
