Obituary of Pauline R. (Dupuis) Novick

Pauline R. (Dupuis) Novick DANVERS – Pauline R. (Dupuis) Novick, 72, beloved wife of Joseph Novick, died peacefully Sunday morning January 29, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Mae (Cormier) Dupuis. She lived there and at age 10 came to the United States, settling in Lynn where she attended schools. She graduated from St. Jean the Baptiste High School in Lynn. She then graduated from the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in 1965 and became a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Novick served as RN at North Shore Children’s Hospital in Salem, a pediatric practice in Beverly, 20 years at the Charles St. Jail with the Suffolk County Sherriff’s Dept., and her more recent work was as Nurse at The Medical Group in Beverly for three years before retiring. Pauline was a member of the Polish Club in Danvers. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, lead a ceramics class, and loved cooking and entertaining. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Curacao and other Caribbean islands, and loved animals especially her last Golden Retriever Trevor. She is survived by her husband Joseph Novick of Danvers, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage; two sisters Gloria Powers of Danvers and Phyllis Sylvanowicz of Danvers/Largo, FL and New Brunswick, Canada; she was the step-sister of Corinne Manning of Salem, Gerald Dupuis of Salem, Norman Dupuis and the late Leo Dupuis, and she leaves several nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 8 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House, c/o Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
