Obituary of Joan Adella Cordero

Joan Adella Cordero, 80, beloved wife of the late John James Cordero, passed away after a lengthy illness, on Monday, February 6th at Salem Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Lynn, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Bohaczyh) McRobbie. Joan grew up in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1953. She worked in the administration office at the General Electric in Lynn for 25 years. Joan enjoyed retirement. She spent her winters at her home at the Royal Wood Country Club in Naples, Florida and her summers at her home on Pine River Pond in Wakefield, New Hampshire. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Women’s League at the Royal Wood Golf and Country Club. Joan also enjoyed playing in her Bridge Club with her many friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother that cherished every moment she had with her family and friends. She is survived by four children: Ronald J. Cordero of Peabody and his fiancé Theresa Moore, Richard J. Cordero and his wife Roberta of Peabody, Lori A. Gamache and her husband Paul of Peabody and Cheri L. Cordero of Peabody; four grandchildren: Kara and her husband Nick, Cody and Landon and Ryder; along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers: John, William and James McRobbie. A funeral service will be held from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Followed by a funeral mass at Saint Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn Street, Peabody at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.
