Obituary of Diane J Martinello

Diane J (Donarumo) Martinello, 77, of Peabody and formerly of Chelsea, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday. She was the devoted wife of the late Philip J Martinello. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Ragosta) Donarumo. She was raised and educated in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School, class of 1957. She has lived in Peabody for the past 55 years. Diane was an entrepreneur who owned and operated several businesses including a Hair Salon, an Oil Company and Pine Knoll Camp Ground in Albany, NH. However, her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and sharing in all of their endeavors. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Dan Sdankus of Peabody, and also survived by her son and by her 8 grandchildren, Britney Martinello, Anthony Carpenito, Stephen Carpenito, Michael Martinello, Christopher Martinello, John Sdankus, Danny Sdankus, and Amanda Sdankus, and by her great granddaughter, Bree Sdankus. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM noon at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St. Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St,, Peabody. Donations can be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451
