Obituary of Lilla A (Connelly) Beston

Lilla A (Connelly) Beston, 99, of Peabody, died Wednesday morning at her home at Brooksby Village in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late James F Beston with she shared over 60 years of marriage. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Victoria (Thibideau) Connelly. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. She has lived in Peabody for the past 60years. Lilla was employed with the city of Peabody School Department as a Teacher’s Aid for many years before retiring many years ago. She was a long time communicant of St. John’s Church in Peabody and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Judith and her husband Scott Bozek of Herndon, VA, her beloved grandchildren, Andrew Bozek and his wife Jennifer Smith-Bozek, and Jeffrey and his wife Katy Bozek, all of Fairfax, VA, Philip and his wife Jen Bozek of Arlington, VA, Sarah Vose-Deveau and her husband Dan of NV, and Allison, Michael and his wife Jannice Vose, and Thomas Vose, all of Boston, and is also survived her three great grandsons, Reed and Finn Smith-Bozek and Charlie Bozek and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Vose, her siblings, Charles and Thomas Connelly, Alice O’Brien, Margaret Roberts, Doris Potter, Louise Powers, Lucy Crowley, and Jeanette Todd. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
