Obituary of Leo Paulino
Leo Paulino, 87, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Wednesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Shirley (Bailey) Paulino with whom he shared over 37 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Henry and Mariana (Lobato) Paulino. He was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School.
Leo was part owner of his family business, the H. Paulino Trash Company in Peabody for many years before he retired.
Leo was a member of the Masons and enjoyed bowling, gardening, and taking care of his Koi pond and he especially enjoyed spending time with his dog Ellie Mae.
Besides his loving wife of 37 years, he is survived by his children, Albert Bailey, Kevin Bailey, William and his wife Cathy Bailey, all of Peabody, Lynne and her husband Richard Hathaway of Danvers, his brother Anebal Paulino of Peabody, and his sisters, Irene Labao, and Louise Bento, and is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two sons, Conrad and Allen Paulino and his sister Mary Mello.
At the request of the family, a private family service was held on Saturday with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Donations in his memory can be made to the Sweet Paws Rescue, P.O. Box 752, Essex, MA 01929.
