Obituary of Mary Claire McNiff

Mary Claire McNiff 58, of Ipswich, passed away at Beverly Hospital on Thursday, February 16, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer. Mary was born in Lowell on February 28, 1958 daughter of the late Arthur J. and A. Claire (Slowey) McNiff. Raised and educated in Peabody she graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in 1976 and then pursued her education at Framingham State University. Mary is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Brigid A. McNiff of Reading, Charles Slowey McNiff and Suzanne McNiff of Rye, NY, Arthur J. McNiff and Patricia McNiff of Mamaroneck, NY, and Martha J. McNiff of Peabody; 2 nieces, Georgina McNiff Waples and her husband Kurt Waples, and Eugenie McNiff both of NY; 4 nephews, Thomas McNiff, Luke McNiff, Pierce McNiff and Gordon McNiff all of NY, and also many cousins. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Peabody. As per Mary’s wishes there will be no visiting hours.
