Flora V. Voyantzis
SALEM Flora V. Voyantzis, 87, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at the North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital.
Born in Salem on April 1, 1920, she was the daughter of the late George and Stella (Lagos) Voyantzis, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She attended Salem schools.
Miss Voyantzis was an affable Manager with Friend’ s Bakery in Salem, was employed as a Bookkeeper at Foodland in Salem, was a Teller with the Peabody Credit Union, and worked several years as an Operator with North Shore Answering Service before retiring.
She was a longtime member at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody.
She has no immediate family living, yet enjoyed friendships with many, including Ida Massa of Peabody and her extended Rubano and Buckley family. She was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Voyantzis.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody, to which all are invited to attend.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 P.M.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
Memorial donations may be made to the ST. Vasilios Altar Fund or to a charity of one’ s choice.
