Obituary of Robert L. "Bob the Rug" Marrama

Robert L. “Bob the Rug” Marrama 63, of Everett, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the NSMC Salem Hospital after a courageous battle with a brief illness. Bob was born in Malden on July 7, 1953 son of Anita M. (Cimmino) Marrama and the late Louis J. Marrama. Bob was raised and educated in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School in 1971. Bob was a flooring contractor for thirty years and his business extended from Boston to the North Shore. Bob derived intense satisfaction from his occupation and a seven day work week was common. His entire life revolved around his family and friends especially his beloved granddaughters. Bob was extremely fond of Gianna and Olivia and cherished the time they spent together. Bob cut his own path through this world and will be remembered for his generosity and kindness to those who knew him. In Bob’s youth he enjoyed playing sports and was an avid sports fan throughout his life. In addition to his mother of Woburn, Bob is survived by his two daughters Jennifer A. Berube and Jeana K. Marrama; and his 2 cherished granddaughters, Gianna Bella Berube and Olivia Jean Newell; his aunt Theresa Cimmino, uncle Freddie and Justine Cimmino; his beloved longtime companion Josephine Bollettiero of Danvers and her children Paul Passacantilli and Lisa Passacantilli; his brothers and sister-in-laws, Richard Marrama of Brushton NY, Louis and Sharon Marrama, Mark and Kim Marrama all of Lynnfield; many nieces, nephews and friends. As per Bob’s request there will be no visiting hours. A family Celebration of Life service will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Foundation.
