Barbara and I worked together for approximately four years promoting resorts in Turks and Caicos. From the moment I met Barbara, I admired her positive energy, infectious smile, passion for the industry and never-ending enthusiasm to do the job well. Barbara was always lovely to work with. Barbara also had an incredibly kind heart. She was truly a lady, always so gracious and elegant in the manner in which she dealt with others. I was devastated to hear when she took a sudden turn for the worse and deeply saddened when she passed away. Joyce, I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but at any time please know you are welcome to contact me to arrange the trip that Barbara was planning for you both to enjoy in TCI. With my most sincere condolences. Sue

Barbie was my college roommate at the University of Bridgeport (CT), and we spent many good times together. Even though I moved away in 1977 from Connecticut, where I grew up, Barbie and I always remained good friends over the miles and years. I loved getting greeting cards from her with her beautiful personal notes which I cherish, and always received a postcard from her wherever she went in her travels. I have a hand-made "memories" book which Barbie put together for me when we graduated from UB which I have kept all these years and which means so much more now. I also have a macrame wall hanging which she made for my husband and me in the mid-70's and which was displayed in her art show. After my granddaughter was born in 2012, Barbie always bought something special for her wherever she travelled which showed what a thoughtful, loving, caring person she was. I will miss her cards, emails and letters but am relieved that she is no longer fighting and suffering. Joyce, I am so sorry for the loss of your sister, friend and travel companion and am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as you work through this difficult time. Love and hugs.
