Obituary of Michael T Davidson

Michael T Davidson, 65, of Beverly and formerly of Peabody, died Thursday evening at the Beverly Hospital following a long illness. Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Davidson. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1970. He has lived in Beverly for the past 8 years. Upon his high school graduation, Michael enlisted with the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1972. Michael then was employed as a machine operator for General Electric and then Metro-Swift Sprinkler Corp in Peabody for many years before retiring due to illness. Michael is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Jody Davidson of Prince Frederick, MD, his step daughter, Sara Renee LeClerc of Salem, NH, his three brothers, Fred Davidson and his wife Beth of Peabody, David Davidson and his husband Stephen McGurl of Medford, and Richard Davidson and his wife Marylee of Epping, NH, his four sisters, Heidi Bick of Peabody, Michele Schoolcraft and her husband Todd of Groveland, Linda Davidson of Salem, and Julie Davidson of East Boston, his beloved three grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella, and Emma Davidson, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Scott, Charles, and Derek Davidson. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the VFW, Post 1011, Stevens St. Peabody, MA 01960.
