Obituary of ALice G. (Dickie) Anderson
Alice G. (Dickie) Anderson, 86, of Peabody, passed away comfortably on April 25, 2006 at the Sea View Retreat in Rowley. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Anderson.
She born in Malden, Ma on July 29, 1919 and had resided there before moving to Peabody in 1955. Alice will always be an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She had worked for several years as a Hostess at the former Red Coach Grill in Saugus .She then continued to achieve her Real Estate license and worked with her late husband and other members of the family in forming the company, Anderson Builders of Peabody and Georgetown.
She enjoyed vacationing with all her grandchildren. Her husband had owned a racetrack in West Peabody and she entered a women’ s stock car race with the fastest stock car # 445 but with her caution she ended up last. Later in life, she went back to school to study nutrition and to write spiritual poetry. Her poems were published by the Society of Poetry. Throughout life Alice grew in wisdom and spread her truth to all her family and friends. Her favorite words were Peace and Happiness.
She leaves behind three children, Charles Anderson of Georgetown, Robert Anderson of Peabody and Dianne Puleo of Middleton. She was Chi-Chi to her nine grandchildren and her 12 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill - Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Services will be held there on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
