Obituary of Santa R. "Tina" (Pirrotta) Nunes

Santa “Tina” R. (Pirrotta) Nunes, 78, of Danvers, wife of the late Clifford E. Nunes, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Care One at Peabody. Tina was born in Salem, on May 10, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Rosa (Papa) Pirrotta. Raised and educated Topsfield, she has been a resident of Danvers for 53 years. Tina was employed for many years as a cashier at Shaw’s Market. She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to creating a home for her family and later on she enjoyed spending precious time and supporting her grandchildren in their endeavors. She also loved entertaining and cooking for her family and friends, and playing beano at St. John’s Prep. Tina is survived by 5 sons and their spouses, Edward and Kimberly Nunes of Danvers, Richard and Kirsten Nunes of Cold Springs, KY, John and Debra Nunes, William Nunes and Robert Nunes all of Danvers; her cherished grandchildren, Edward Nunes, Jacob Nunes, Keven and Jayna Nunes, Christopher and Lindsey Robert, Anya, Isabelle and Nicole Nunes, 2 great granddaughters, Kaylee Nunes and Hayley Houston; 3 brothers and their spouses, Salvatore and Marge Pirrotta, Joseph and Louise Pirrotta all of Danvers, and John and Marie Pirrotta of Topsfield, and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 10th at 8 a.m. from the funeral home followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Richard’s Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Memorial contributions may be made in Tina’s name to a charity of one’s choice. The interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
